After installing iDNA Applications from the template, default passwords will be set for some accounts.
Changing the default password of the root user of the centOS appliance
To do this, proceed as follows:
Open a PUTTY session to the machine.
To learn more about PUTTY and how to use it to access the machine, refer to this article.
- Log in as root using the password given in the setup guide.
To change the password, use the passwd command. You will be prompted to type in (and retype) a new password.
Be aware that panagenda does NOT have any backdoor user to help you out in case you lose your custom root password.
Changing the password to access the VNC server
To do this, proceed as follows:
- Open a PUTTY session to the machine.
To change the password, use the vncpasswd command. You will be prompted to type in (and retype) a new password.
PUTTY will ask you if you want to set the password as view only.
