In total, HCL Notes and Domino 14.0 Fix Pack 2 includes 65 fixes. Clearly, deploying the current Fix Pack isn’t just a good idea—it’s essential for taking advantage of the functional enhancements in Notes/Domino 14.

Administration

  • MSKAD3SR6T: Programmability – LotusScript – Fixed an issue where NotesAdministrationProcess.MoveUserInHierarchyRequest was not correctly returning the note ID.
  • DNADD3QMHL: Server – Administration – AdminCentral – Fixed an issue where password reset was not considering any custom password policy.

Agents

  • UTOOCZZ6VQ: Client – 64-bit – Agents – Fixed a crash when using the 64-bit Notes standard client to execute an agent by agent.run() method.
  • SPPPD6LF89: Programmability – Java Agents – Fixed a memory leak in Java agents. This regression was introduced in 14.0.

API

  • WDCABHFPYM: Programmability – Rest API – Fixed an issue where the Rest API was showing incorrect version information.

Backup & Restore

  • DDCRD5XHKC: Server – Backup – Fixed an issue where the current timeout value for the VSS snapshot post event was set to 60. This has been changed to 180.
  • DNADD7MSNL: Server – Database – Backup – Fixed an issue where Domino Backup VSS Writer was not triggering a snapshot if the Domino directory name started with a specific character.
  • DDCRD7P8NY: Server – Database – Backup – Fixed an issue where a database could not be backed up in backupvss mode when the drive letter was in lowercase.

Cache Mode

  • ASIAD4DECP: Client – General – Fixed an issue where the file \HCL\Notes\framework\rcp\rcplauncher.exe did not have a digital signature.

Calendar

  • HHIED4W9Y4: iNotes – Calendar – Fixed an issue where the attachment name was changed on a message to be forwarded when a calendar entry with multiple same-name attachments was included.

Calendar & Scheduling

  • SJOID27EHR: Client – Calendar – Fixed an issue where removing an Office 365 invitee from an existing meeting using the “Remove Invitees” option was sending a cancelation to all invitees.
  • SGHHCYGM3E: Server – Calendar – Fixed an issue where Cyrillic characters were not displaying properly for meeting invitations received from WebEx.

  • MOBNCY2KBG: Server – LDAP – Added a new Notes INI – LDAP_USE_HTTP_TRUSTED_IP_LIST_FOR_LOCKOUT_EXEMPTION=1 – to allow a customer to exempt certain IP addresses from lockout.
  • MOBND4NK7D: Server – Directory – Fixed an issue where NAMELookup was returning a timeout error (7286) when it shouldn’t, resulting in router non-delivery reports.
  • MOBND2DM7Z: Server – Entitlement Aggregator – Fixed an issue where the entitlement document was not getting updated with the new server/database name.
  • ASHAD2VEVN: Client – Addressing – Fixed an issue in the ‘Select Addresses” dialog where an error about “No entries found matching the search conditions” would appear incorrectly.

Should I update?

Here, I would make a clear recommendation. There are still some unresolved issues that haven’t been addressed in Fix Pack 2, but the direction is right. HCL is continuously working on improvements, so my advice is: Download and install it.
